Where's the link on a TikTok?
Tap the curved arrow next to the likes and comments. That's Share, and Copy link is inside. On a computer the address bar has it too. Short vm.tiktok.com links work, and so does a whole pasted message with the link somewhere inside.
Will it work without the TikTok app?
Yes, and without an account too. This page's box does the whole job in any browser, on a phone or a computer, with no sign-in screen anywhere.
iPhone
Where do TikTok downloads go on iPhone?
Into the Files app, in a folder called Downloads. Depending on your Safari settings, that folder lives in iCloud Drive or On My iPhone.
How do I move it to Photos?
In Files, open the video and bring up the Share list: Save Video is in there. For slideshow pictures the option reads Save Image. Both land in your camera roll next to your own clips.
Android
Where do TikToks save on Android?
In the Download folder on your phone. Chrome shows a message when the file is done, with an Open button to play it straight away.
Why isn't it in my gallery?
Give it a minute: most gallery apps list new files in an album called Download. Still missing? Open the Files app and look under Downloads.
PC or Mac
Does it work on a PC or Mac?
Yes, in any browser. The file lands in your Downloads folder like anything else; the MP4 opens in whatever video player you have, and the MP3 drops straight into a music app or an editing timeline.
Can I send it to someone without TikTok?
Yes, and that's half the point. A saved TikTok is a plain MP4, so it plays in any chat app and on any phone, including ones that have never opened TikTok. Posting it again somewhere public? Put the creator's @ in the caption.
Why did the TikTok download button disappear?
Their video, their switch.
TikTok gives creators a Downloads setting; it's locked off for private accounts and under-16s. When it's off, Save video disappears from the Share menu for everyone who watches. People can still view it and share its link; nobody gets the file.
We read the same setting.
Our server checks it before fetching a TikTok. If downloads are off, the link is refused and the box tells you why. Want a copy anyway? Ask the creator for one.

- On videos that allow saving, Save video lives in the Share menu, not on the video itself. Tap the arrow on the right and look along the bottom row.
- Private or deleted
- Private accounts, friends-only posts and removed videos need a login, or no longer exist. Those links fail here as well.
- Your own post
- Switched downloads off on your own video? Turn them on in Settings and privacy, then Privacy, then Downloads. Save your copy, then switch them off again.
- Profile page
- A profile page isn't a single post, so there's no file behind it. Open one video and copy its link instead.
Download TikToks online for free

TikTok went dark across the US for about half a day on 18–19 January 2025. Every Favourite was out of reach until it came back, since a Favourite lives on TikTok's servers and nowhere on your phone.

Public TikToks only. Private and friends-only posts are refused, and so are videos whose creator switched downloads off and anything longer than an hour. Each visitor gets 5 downloads an hour and 10 a day: a slideshow counts as one, failed links don't count, and the same link again within 30 minutes is free. No file is kept on our server, which only relays each one, and each save link works for about 10 minutes. Audio is MP3 only. 9vids is free, and TikTok has no hand in it.
