9vids privacy policy
What we know about you, which is almost nothing
Nobody signs in to 9vids to save a TikTok, a SoundCloud track or anything else from the nine platforms, which leaves this policy with a lot less to say than most. The things the service does hold fit in one list, just under the sofa, with the time each is allowed to stay.
What data does 9vids collect?
One list is what we never get hold of, however often you come back. The other is what the service keeps for a while so it can run, and how long each thing lasts, where that's ours to decide.
What we don't have
Your name, email address or an account
There's no sign-up form anywhere on the site, so there's no profile for your details to sit in.
Your platform logins
We hold none of yours, on any of the nine platforms.
Your location
The site never asks your device where it is, and our server doesn't work it out from your IP address. Google Analytics shows us only a country total across all visitors.
A readable history of what you pasted
Whatever you paste is scrambled before anything is written down.
Your files
Nothing you save is left on 9vids afterwards.

An IP address is the number your internet or mobile provider gives your connection, a bit like the return address on an envelope. Every website you open sees it, because that's how the page knows where to send itself back to. It doesn't carry your name, and on mobile data it often changes during the day and is shared by lots of people at once. The most it can hint at is a rough area, which is exactly why we never look it up. Our app uses it for the second it takes to make the scrambled counter, saves only that counter, and the real address never goes into our database or our logs. The one other place an IP can show up is the hosting server's standard access log, which every web server keeps and clears out on its own.

Browsers tell every site a few plain things about themselves, such as screen size, language and time zone, so pages can be laid out properly. Your browser folds a handful of those into a scrambled code on your own device, and that code is what we count next to the IP, so nobody can dodge the limits just by hopping between networks. The plain basics travel with each download request too, only so the server can tell a real browser from a script, and they aren't saved. The code itself is deleted within 24 hours.

A short-lived signed pass

Lives in the page's memory and shows the request came from a real browser page. It isn't a cookie, and our server doesn't store it.

Does 9vids know who I am?
No. We don't log or trace who you are.
The free limits still need counting, and the server does it with scrambled values. Your IP address, a signature made from basic browser properties and the link you paste each go through a keyed hash. Put the same thing in twice and the same string comes out, which is all the counter needs to notice a connection it has seen before, but nobody can run the string backwards and get the IP address, the signature or the link again.
Those strings are kept for 24 hours at most and deleted automatically after that, and there was never a name anywhere near them to begin with.
How much 9vids knows about your location
A rough country, from Google Analytics, added up across everyone who visits.
That tally, in Google's visitor report, is the closest 9vids ever gets to knowing where anybody is, and no single person's trail runs through it.
Where your videos and links go
Through our server to your browser, and we host nothing.
Each file is fetched from the platform and handed on to you while it's still coming in, and none of it touches our disk on the way. The save link on your screen is dead after about 10 minutes.
As for the link you pasted, it becomes one of the scrambled strings explained further up.
The tool deals in public posts only. Private, friends-only and login-only ones are turned away by design.
Is my data sold to anyone?
It isn't. There's nothing to sell, and we wouldn't sell it if there were.
We don't deal with any data broker, we build no profile of your interests and we keep no email list. Nobody pays 9vids for anything about the people who use it, and a pile of scrambled strings wouldn't be much of a product anyway.
Requests from governments and police
9vids has no data-sharing arrangement with any government, police force or agency.
A lawful request gets an honest reply, and most of the time the reply is that the data doesn't exist. There's no account to look up and no stored file to hand over, and nobody at 9vids could say who pasted which link.
Rights holders who want a post kept out of 9vids have a separate route, and the DMCA page explains it.
We never use your Instagram or Facebook login
Your login and cookies for Instagram, Facebook and every other platform stay with you; 9vids never asks for them, sees them or uses them.
It doesn't connect to your accounts or contact them either, so saving something here changes nothing on your Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X or YouTube account, and no post, like or follow can happen in your name.
Some X and YouTube posts are fetched through accounts that belong to 9vids itself. They're ours, never a visitor's, and nothing about them points to you. We don't use an Instagram login of any kind.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We don't set a single cookie of our own. The ones you'll find belong to Google services such as Google Analytics, which count our visitors.
Google's reports give us totals for visitors, pages read and types of device, plus the country figure from the location section. We use them to see which pages people get something out of and which phones and computers the site has to work well on.
You can refuse it without breaking anything on 9vids. Browser settings, a blocking extension and Google's own Google Analytics opt-out add-on all do the job, and the cookies page goes through each one.
The download box uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out. For that check, Cloudflare sees your IP address and browser details, under its own privacy policy.
Your rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and other privacy laws
You can ask what 9vids holds about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how it's used, wherever you live.
The GDPR, the UK GDPR and the CCPA give people those rights, as do similar laws elsewhere, and we don't check which one covers you before answering. Email privacy@9-vids.com and a person reads it and writes back.
The reply will most likely be a short, honest note rather than a file. Nothing we hold is tied to a name, and the scrambled values from your visit may well have been deleted before your email even arrives, so there's usually no record we can match to you, and we'll tell you when that happens. If it's Google Analytics counting your visits that bothers you, you can block that yourself today, the way the cookies section describes.
For the scrambled counters, the legal basis the GDPR asks us to name is legitimate interest, which here means we hold them to stop abuse and to keep a free service fair for everyone. If you're not happy with how we handled a request, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
The person answerable for how 9vids handles data is its founder, Mohammad Ahsan. Our DMCA page goes through the laws in turn and says where 9vids stands with each.
Children's privacy
Children aren't asked for any personal data, and neither is anyone else.
The paste box wants a link and nothing more, and nowhere on the site asks for a name, an age or a photo, so a child's visit leaves the same traces as anyone's, which means the short-lived entries in the list at the top of this page and one more visit in Google's count.

When this policy changes
If 9vids starts handling data differently, this page is rewritten to match and the review date beside the title moves on. The version you're reading was last reviewed in September 2026.
